Maybe my brain is still recovering from the punishment it endured over Independence Day Weekend, but I am no good at Droplitz. I can hang with it for a minute or two, but then my mental processes become a muddled confusion and I just start tapping buttons – which is fun in itself because of the poppy sound effects.

It’s a puzzle game whose object is to align pathways so that falling ‘droplitz’ are delivered safely to a reservoir. Rotating your discs a little at a time to create an uninterrupted channel will score you points and keep you alive. Droplitz offers you three modes – normal, hardcore, and infinite – to give this already fulfilling title even more value. I definitely recommend starting out with the infinite mode, because the others don’t give you much of a chance to learn.

Droplitz is founded on a simple concept, but it’s the kind of game that will keep you coming back for more. Its circuitous game board and swift pace make it a major challenge, but Droplitz is still one of the finest puzzle games you can find at the App Store.

Get Droplitz.
