Even though I totally suck at Blocked, I can recognize that it’s a fantastic game. And despite the fact that I almost always turn it off in a huff feeling much worse than when I started, I know that the problem lies within me and not the game.

The fact that I hate it so much is actually a testament to Blocked’s quality. I keep coming back to it, even though I often have to spend a ton of time to beat the “easy” levels. All you have to do is move the gray blocks around in a way that’ll clear a path for the blue ones to get through the window, but my brain just doesn’t seem to work that way.

All the irritation is bearable because when you do finally crack the code, you feel just like a genius. And for less than one smacker, you get 100 levels to play around with.

That’s a few non-stop days of terrible frustration peppered with 100 intermittent moments of extreme satisfaction. What a bargain.

Get Blocked.
