Drop7 is my new favorite game. Of course if history is any indicator, that should change within a week or two. But on this day, at this moment in time, I’m all yours, Drop7.

And you’re all mine – because I paid $2.99 for you at the App Store, and I know I can always count on you to be there when I pull out my iPhone, because that’s what you’re all about – counting.

On a 7 X 7 game board, you organize the discs (numbers 1 through 7) that you’re presented with into rows and columns. The idea is to place the disc you’ve got into a row or column that has that number of discs in it. Any disc in that row or column displaying that digit will disappear. Stringing together massive combos is the best way to send your score through the roof.

So if I were to drop that 2 up there straight down into that column, it would disappear because that would make two discs in that particular column. The other gray discs have numbers under their tough exterior, which you can crack by eliminating one of the discs directly next to it. In addition to the Normal mode, you also have your choice of Hardcore and Sequence, which change things up a bit.

That’s about all there is to it, but it’s a hell of a lot of fun.

Get Drop7.
